Welcome to the SOC's website PDF Print
Steindler Orthopedic Clinic (SOC) provides comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine services for patients throughout Southeastern Iowa and beyond. The staff members of the SOC are dedicated professionals who work together as a team to provide you with the best care possible. Our goal is to provide you with quality care -- whether that be medical, physical, or surgical -- and return you to your normal activities as soon as medically possible.
Steindler Orthopedic Clinic
In November of 2001, the SOC moved into a new building with easy access to Interstate 80. A MRI has been installed to facilitate fast and efficient scans for our patients on location. There is also on-site physical and occupational therapy provided by Progressive Rehabilitation. In addition to updating the infrastructure of the SOC, our physicians also stay up-to-date attending numerous continuing medical education lectures and skills labs during the year. They are proud to offer their patients the latest techniques and care in orthopedics and sports medicine. This includes advanced arthroscopic techniques and mini-invasive surgery.
The Steindler Orthopedic Clinic, P.L.C. was established in January, 1950 by the world famous Dr. Arthur Steindler. It has built and maintained a long history of quality care with a patient-base encompassing all of Southeastern Iowa. The SOC is also the only private orthopedic and sports medicine group in Iowa City and the only group providing services at Mercy Hospital of Iowa City. The SOC offers services from nine orthopedic surgeons with varying interests and specialties, a physiatrist, and two physician assistants.
